To become a licensed advisor in Canada under Greatway Financial, you must complete one of the following depending on your province:
✔ LLQP (Life Licence Qualification Program) — for all provinces except Québec
✔ AMF Certification — for Québec (Autorité des marchés financiers)
Both licensing pathways prepare you to offer:
- Life insurance
- Critical illness
- Disability
- Segregated fund products
- Annuities
- Estate planning solutions

LLQP Modules (for all provinces except Québec):
- Life Insurance
- Accident & Sickness (A&S)
- Segregated Funds & Annuities
- Ethics and Professional Practice – Common Law (for all provinces)
- Ethics and Professional Practice – Civil Code (for Québec candidates)
You must complete all modules before writing the provincial exams.
If you live in Québec, you will complete:
✔ AMF Certification Pathway
This includes:
- Life Insurance
- Accident & Sickness
- Segregated Funds
- Ethics (Civil Code)
- Additional AMF requirements unique to Québec

There are two sets of exams:
A. Certification Exams (done through SeeWhy or another LLQP provider)
These are online, module-by-module.
B. Provincial Licensing Exams
Once certified, you write your province’s licensing exams through:
- Durham College (Ontario)
- IBAM/Other provincial exam vendors
- AMF (Québec)
Exam fees range between $100–$400 per attempt, depending on province.
Here are the required start-up costs for licensing and membership:
INITIAL INVESTMENT:
- $129 + tax — Greatway Membership
- $179 + tax — LLQP or AMF licensing course (SeeWhy Learning)
- $100–$400 — Provincial exam fees (depends on province)
- $18–$35 — Police background check (required for contracting)
- $175–$850 — Provincial license issuance (varies by province)
ONGOING COSTS (after you get licensed):
- $45 + tax — System Access Fee (monthly)
- $50+ — Errors & Omissions (E&O) Insurance (paid every 6 months)
- $175–$850+ — License renewals (yearly or every 2–3 years depending on province)
Total Estimated Investment:
$550 – $1,600+
(depending on province and personal pace)
This includes everything:

And remember:

You can transition to full-time once you're ready.
You can earn through:

There is no cap on income
This is your business, powered by Greatway Financial’s platform.
You are:
- Licensed
- Independent
- Self-employed
- In control of your hours
- In control of your growth
You own your book of business and can even pass it on to your family.
You must have a minimum 625 credit score before contracting.
This is a regulatory requirement by insurance companies.
You may still qualify if you have been in good standing for the last 3 months.
Greatway will review:
- Payment history
- Proof of consistency
- Status of the proposal
If all conditions are met, you may proceed with contracting.
If you are currently bankrupt or have recently discharged bankruptcy, you may not qualify.
Bankruptcy cases go through heightened review.
To be contracted with Greatway, your residency must allow you to work legally in Canada.
For work permit holders:
- You must have no employment restrictions.
- The permit must allow work in the insurance industry.
When you proceed with membership, you acknowledge this requirement.
Yes. Depending on the province’s regulations and the nature of your role, applicants may face challenges in the contracting/licensing stage.
The following occupations may face difficulty:

ALL PROVINCES EXCEPT ON:
- Healthcare professionals (Nurses, doctors, PSWs, etc.)
MANITOBA:

After passing the provincial exams, all candidates undergo a background review.
Your ability to be contracted depends on:

- The severity
- How long ago it occurred
- Whether the case is closed or pending
- Provincial regulatory guidelines
